Perennial Holdings inks agreement to open two hospitals in Guangzhou

Found in the Southeast Tower of Yuesheng Plaza, this will be the first fully foreign-owned tertiary general hospital and specialist hospital in Guangzhou and Southern China. Both medical centers will have a total arranged capacity of over 600 beds.

The hospitals are expected to establish Guangzhou as a “top health tourism place”, attracting high-net-worth buyers from the Asia Pacific area, believes Pua.

According to Perennial Holdings, the two hospitals will offer a shared medical centers and services approach that will allow doctors and clinical teams to operate on an asset-light basis, without requiring to purchase medical centers and services. Rather, they will make use of centers provided and supervised by Perennial Holdings.

Both hospitals in Guangzhou are assumed to be completed in July 2026, forming the very first phase of the Perennial Baiyun International Healthcare City. Under the partnership agreement between Perennial Holdings and the Guangzhou Baiyun District Government, the healthcare city is readied to connect over 1.18 sq kilometres at an approximated overall investment cost of RM5 billion. The Perennial Baiyun International Healthcare City is envisioned to be a medical and wellness precinct combining medical, wellness, research study, training, business and household elements, says the group.

On The Other Hand, Perennial Holdings is also readied to establish an integrated eldercare project in Guangzhou’s Huangpu District, that will certainly feature a rehabilitation hospital, taking care of home and an eldercare home.

Perennial Holdings has signed an agreement with Guangzhou Metro Group to rent around 105,000 sq ft of space and spend around RMB1 billion ($ 178.9 million) to launch 2 health centers in Guangzhou.
