Former JLL Apac CEO Anthony Couse joins Elevate Capital as partner

Elevate Capital Group has publicized the appointment of Anthony Couse as an associate. According to a Sept 8 press release, Couse, the previous CEO for Asia Pacific (Apac) at JLL, will work with Elevate builder and handling associate Ashish Manchharam to “speed up the company’s expansion, with a purpose on scaling investor partnerships, expanding procurements, and improving possession management plans”.

In August 2024, Elevate acquired Stamford Court, a commercial building on Hill Street in the Downtown Core, in a joint venture with PGIM Real Estate for $132 million. Repositioning and asset enhancement works are currently being carried out at the property development, that is targeted to resume in the very first half of 2026.

Manchharam even started his career at JLL. He spent beyond 12 years at the firm, where he focused on financial investment deals and capital markets across Hong Kong, Singapore, and the wider area. In 2014, he left JLL and consequently established realty investment firm 8M Real Estate. In 2023, Manchharam exited 8M Real Estate, selling off his stake in the firm to Hong Kong-based Crane Capital for an undisclosed figure.

Couse put in around 35 years at JLL. His past role at the company was as Apac CEO, a position he kept in between 2016 and January 2025. Before that, he was regulating director for Eastern China and Shanghai for more than a decade, and additionally alloted 12 years at JLL’s Hong Kong office.
