This is going to be the first Motto by Hilton real property in Japan. The hotel will feature an all-day dining diner and a lounge with a free balcony.

“Motto by Hilton Kyoto Shijo Karasuma will give a new, locally embeded hospitality encounter that supports meeting, producing a new kind of stay for visitors looking to submerse on their own in Japan’s social capital,” said Alex Shockley, Hilton’ top director, lifestyle and collection labels for Asia Pacific.

Hilton is partnering with Heiwa Realty Co to open Motto by Hilton Kyoto Shijo Karasuma. The 108-key hotel is going to start in 2029.

Hilton will manage the property for Heiwa. The Japanese property developer and property business handles a profile of commercial and non commercial properties in Japan, including the stock exchange properties in towns such as Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka.

Hilton currently operates 13 Motto resorts, with over 24 hotels under progress. Recent openings included properties in Brazil and Nashville, United States, whilst the group has also inked arrangements for properties in Paris, Shanghai and Sydney.

In Kyoto, Hilton’s portfolio is readied to grow to seven hotels across numerous labels, including an upcoming Curio Collection by Hilton real estate.

The hotel will be a two-minute walk from Shijo Terminal on the Kyoto Municipal Metro Karasuma Line and Karasuma Stop on the Hankyu Kyoto Line. This is going to enable visitors convenient transport accessibility to preferred Kyoto attractions such as Nishiki Market, the well-known Gion and Higashiyama districts, and retail offerings in the Shijo Kawaramachi area.

“As section of our efforts to realise our long-term vision, WAY2040, we are increasing our hotel business as a brand-new area of development,” said Kiyoyuki Tsuchimoto, the firm’s representative executive officer, president and chief executive officer.
